Putting the drums together into a pattern is known as “building a beat”. Some patterns do a better job than others defining the type of music you are trying to make. House music, dubstep, the Blues, and breakbeats genres all have unique approaches to the drums that are instantly recognizable as those styles. However, one beat (pattern, md) is the King of all beats. It’s a style that works no matter the tempo, style or tone delivers a successful rhythm in all music - the “2-4 backbeat”. Hence the title of “King of all Beats”.
